Daniel Garza, 27, of Andrews passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Odessa.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at La Nueva Jerusalem Church, 2535 NW Mustang Drive, in Andrews. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home. Daniel was born on December 4, 1990, in Andrews to Onesimo Garza, Jr. and Tracy D’aun McEwen. He was raised in Andrews and attended high school in Brownfield and Andrews. In Brownfield, he played football, was a member of the Boy Scouts, was selected class favorite his sophomore year, went to state in woodworking, and was a member and youth leader at Abundant Harvest Community Church. In Andrews, he graduated in 2009, where he was involved in football and baseball. He had worked as a jailer for Terry County Sheriff Department, as a pumper for Sheridan Production in Andrews, and was currently working as a field operator for Enerserv Services in Andrews. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, barbequing, collected knives, and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was very outgoing, loving, outspoken, funny, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed most of all his family and his children and loved coaching his kids. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Onesimo Garza, Sr., Madie Green, and LouAnn Turnbow. In keeping with Daniel’s loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live.

Daniel is survived by his 2 children, Izaiah and Noah Garza of Andrews, mother, Tracy Patterson of Andrews, father, Onesimo Garza, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Brownfield, stepfather, Steven Herron of Joshua, 5 siblings, Sean Garza and wife, Heather, of Andrews, Michael Garza of Andrews, Kirstie Herron of Andrews, Matthew Garza and wife, Elizabeth of Lubbock, and Katelyn Garza and husband, Carlos, of Brownfield, grandparents, Victoria Garza of Brownfield, Martha Bryant of Andrews, and Virgil and Elaine Way of Andrews, fiancée, Victoria Johnson and her son, Drayden, of Andrews, 1 niece, Kailey, 4 nephews, Eathan, Eli, Carter, and Carlos, and 2 step siblings, Aiden Herron of San Antonio and Nevaeh Herron of Joshua.
