Several Denver City FFA students recently returned from Sweetwater where they participated in the Area II Convention Speaking Events over the last Friday.
Reagan Calk won 1st place Senior Prepared – Ag Policy and 4th place overall Senior Prepared and will advance to State.
Paige Williams won 3rd place in Senior Prepared – Plant Science.
Riley Calk won 4th place Junior Prepared Public Speaking and Fabian Mendoza won 4th place Spanish FFA Creed and will also advance to State.
“Congratulations to those members who competed at the Area II Convention Speaking Events in Sweetwater,” instructor Brandon Freel said. “It was a great job by these speakers and we’re looking forward to hearing them speak at the State Convention in July in Dallas.”
Brandon Freel is the junior high Ag Teacher and the FFA Advisor.
