The Fillies ran their season record to 26-2 with a straight-set win over All-Saints Tuesday on the Fillies home court.

After running through the first set the Fillies struggle in the next two sets before leaving with a 25-14, 25-20, 25-17 win. The Fillies took an early 10-2 lead in the first set and then coasted the rest of the way.  All-Saints came out firing in the second set to take an early lead. The Fillies played catch up until they finally tied things up at 16-16.  They got their first lead of the set at 20-18 and then traded out points for a second set win.

The third set had the same markings as set #2 with the Patriots gaining the upper hand early. There was no more than a 3-4 difference in the score before the Fillies went on a mini-run earning the eight-point win.

Holly Hemmeline once again led the offensive charge with 13 kills. Sophomore Marley Jordan finished with six while Lexi Ivy and Moraima Villegas both had four kills.
Jayleen Villarreal once again was the assist leader with 23. She also shared honors with Lexi in the serving department with three aces each.

Defensively Morgan Johnson had 17 digs and Moraima and Holly had 12 each. Holly and Lexi had four blocks and Marley had three. Two of Lexi’s blocks came on the final two points of the match.

The Fillies traveled to Snyder on Saturday for a 3-way match with Snyder and Jim Ned and then closed out their non-district schedule on Tuesday when they hosted Monahans. They will start district play on Saturday, September 22, when they play host to Brownfield.
