Judy Ann (Mills) Bagwell

Judy Ann Bagwell, 74, died peacefully on January 22, 2018 at home in Midland, Texas after a brave struggle with cancer. Judy was born January 20, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Burl D. “Pete” Mills and Betty J. Mills.
Judy’s childhood was spent in Seagraves, Texas where she graduated from Seagraves High School in 1962. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seagraves. She loved playing piano and enjoyed giving lessons to children as well as playing for church services.
Judy was known for her infectious laugh and love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons Lance, Jimmy and Chris. Her seven grandchildren gave her much joy and always brought a smile to her face. Judy was a long time resident of Midland who worked for various oil related companies highlighted by an 18 year career at Exxon before retiring in 1999.
Judy is survived by her mother, Betty Mills of Lubbock, Texas and her father Pete (wife Rose) Mills of Midland; brothers, Mike (wife Carolyn) Mills of Chesapeake, Virginia and David (wife Nancy) Eberle of Midland; sister, Tammy (husband Freddie) Watt of Midland; sons, Lance (wife Elaine, children Ashley, Kylie and Kenzie) of Midland, Jimmy (wife Leslie and child Emerson) of Prosper, Texas, Chris (wife Patty, children, Riley, Logan and Payton) of Frisco, Texas; two nieces and four nephews, and other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held January 29, 2018 at 11:00am at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with Dustin Pearce officiating.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Midland and Martha Ramirez and her team of devoted care givers for their comfort, compassion, and care.
