Kay McClure (1952 – 2018)

Brownfield- On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Kay Lewis Hilton McClure took her last breath at 8:47 pm at the age of 66. Kay was born on July 2, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas to Arlen and Bonnie (Caddell) Hilton. On December 4, 1971, she married the love of her life Michael Wayne McClure. They raised two daughters, Kimberly, and Kristy in Plains, Texas, where they lived for 22 years and Kay worked as the Assistant County Auditor for Yoakum County for 25 years. Mike and Kay moved to Brownfield in 1994. Kay had a passion for Jesus. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for 1st and 2nd graders for over 30 years. She was part of the Children’s Ministry team at Calvary Baptist Church.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother Bonnie and step-dad Delbert Underwood; grandparents: Bebe and Roy Hilton, Lillian and Sam Houston Caddell.

She is survived by her husband Michael Wayne McClure and two daughters Kimberly McClure of Brownfield and Kristy and Darrel Williams of Lamesa. Grandchildren: Grant and Jacie Browning, Raiden Brassfield and Seven Williams; parents: Arlen and Chris Hilton; siblings: Debra and Bobby Crump, Wes and Jackie Underwood, Brand and Karina Hilton, Rycke and James Williams, Dale and Pat Underwood; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas. Services are scheduled for Monday, September 24, 2018, at 2 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to United Blood Services.
