Funeral services For Mary Palmares Flores, 66, of Brownfield will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at First Assembly of God in Denver City at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rueben Garcia, Rev. James M. Robertson Sr. and Rev. Ken Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home in Brownfield. Mary was born on Dec.19, 1947, to Francisco Palmares and Seferina Munoz in Karnes City, TX. Mary was a homemaker who loved to sew, cook, and be with her family. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and was preceded in death by two brothers, Francisco and Daniel Palmares; as well as one sister, Elydia Torres. She leaves behind her husband, Joe C. Flores; three sons, Joe R. Flores of Lubbock, Richard P. Flores and wife Eva of Denver City, and Jimmy Lee Flores of Brownfield. She also leaves behind six daughters, Diane Torres of Denver City, Betty Flores of Lubbock, Josie Lozano and husband Johnny of Midland, Isabel Luna and husband Valentin of Midland, Jennifer Flores of Brownfield, Danielle Ybarra and husband John of Lubbock; one brother, Moses Palmares of Fort Worth; and two sisters, Ernestina Avalos of Caldwell, Idaho, and Josie Hernandez of Caldwell, Idaho. Mary also had 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
