Patti McGuire

Patti Cabe McGuire peacefully passed from this life on April 18, 2018, at the age of 62. She was in her home surrounded by her loving family when she entered the Kingdom of heaven. Patti lost her 3 1/2 year battle with ovarian cancer after a long and courageous fight. Her fighting spirit touched the lives of many.Patti was born in Lubbock, Texas on December 16, 1955, to Conrad and Norma (Fore) Cabe.Patti was the oldest of three sisters and the proud mother of her daughter Jennifer (McGuire) Illing and son-in-law Geoff Illing of Coppell, Texas. She is survived by Jennifer’s father, Ron McGuire of Austin, and grandfather Don McGuire, of Coppell, her two sisters, Karla (Cabe) Hope and Richard Hope of Lubbock, Sandy (Cabe) Meeks and her husband Brian Meeks of San Angelo. She also shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. Patti was a graduate of Brownfield high school and had a long and successful career with Fannie Mae as a Senior Financial Asset Manager. She retired in May of 2016. Throughout her life, Patti enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to travel, camp, garden, ski, cook and pamper her three Pomeranians. Patti had a servant’s heart and loved serving in a women’s ministry called Tres Dias. She never met a stranger and her zest for life was contagious. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in Coppell at 2:00 pm.
