Also coming with label revisions is a required course that the license holder and anyone that will spray these dicamba based herbicides under their license to have attended a training that is specific to Auxin based herbicides.
This training is required by TDA to spray dicamba based products such as Xetendimax, FeXapan, and Engenia; the training is currently not required to apply the new 2,4-D based products such as Enlist Duo and Enlist One. The training must be attended by ALL applicators including licensed applicators and all unlicensed applicators working under the licensed applicator’s supervision. This training is not needed for the application of the older dicamba herbicides like Clarity or Banvel. Knowing that farmers will want to utilize this technology during the 2018 growing season, the training was designed to help promote stewardship of these new formulations so this technology does not end after the two year registration is up in December of 2018. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as well as allied industry personnel will be hosting multiple trainings around the area, these trainings are free and last one hour. At the end of the meeting you will get your TDA CEU towards Laws and Regulations, that indicates you and/or your applicator have attended this training. Below is a list of known Auxin based herbicide trainings during the first four months of 2018, the bulk of these meetings are held in Terry, Yoakum, Hockley, and Cochran Counties.
