Services for Rodney Dale Bearden, 65, of Brownfield will be held at 10am Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church with Ernest Smith officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Rodney was born on August 18, 1950 in Brownfield to Homer and Ellen Bearden. He graduated from Dawson High School and attended South Plains College. He was a member of First Christian Church. Rodney married Anna Hendon in Welch on January 9, 1971. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had love and patience for woodworking. Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Homer Bearden.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Anna Bearden of Brownfield; son, Michael Bearden of Aurora, CO; 3 grandchildren, Austin Bearden of Mocksville, N.C., Peyton Bearden of Mocksville, N.C. and Aubrey Butcher of Vicenza, Italy; a great grandchild, Silas Bearden of Mocksville, N.C.; mother, Ellen Bearden and 2 sisters, Phyllis Bowman of Lubbock and Terri Opperman of Lubbock.
