The varsity Fillies used their depth to finish as the District track champions last week on the track in Denver City.

They finished with 156 points edging a good Estacado team who finished in 2nd place with 138 points.

Lupita Gutierrez finished in 5th place in the individual standings with 22 points and Reagan Calk tied for 8th place with 16 points.

Denver City results of each individual event were: 100 meters – Camry Spurgeon 6th; 200 meters – Julie Barrientes 4th; 400 meters – Reagan Calk 2nd, Itzel Manzanera 3rd, Alazey Mishleau 4th; 800 meters – Lupita Gutierrez 1st, Macey Jordan 3rd; 1600 meters – Alazey Mishleau 2nd, Lupita Gutierrez 3rd, Maria Aritza 5th; 3200 meters – Lupita Gutierrez 3rd, Maria Aritza 4th, Molly Rich 5th; 100 and 300 meter hurdles – Ailin Ortega 5th, Holly Hemmeline 6th; 4X100 relay – 5th; 4X200 relay – 3rd; 4X400 relay – 1st.

In the field events: Long Jump – Camry Spurgeon 4th; Shot Put – Tori Garcia 5th, Logan McLeroy 6th; Discus – Anahi Perez – 1st, Jayleen Villarreal 4th, Haylee Villarreal 6th; High Jump – Denisse Saenz 1st, Morgan Dial – 4th, Alazey Mishleau 5th; Pole Vault – Julie Barrientes 3rd; Molly Rich – 5th.

Lamesa finished in 3rd place with 98 points, Brownfield and Levelland tied for 4th with 75 points each, and Seminole was 6th with 72 points.
