Willie was born February 9, 1922 to Joe and Jane Blair in Little Rock, Ar. They moved to Meadow in the mid 1920’s where he attended school until the 10th grade. Willie left school early so that he could help out on the family farm, where he worked until he was 92. Willie proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Lois Dora West December 23, 1946 in Lubbock. They were members of Meadow First Baptist Church. Willie was also a member of the Meadow Lions Club, Meadow Museum Board, and a past member of the Terry County Farm Bureau Board. Willie was awarded Terry County Dry Land Farmer of the Year in 1992.

Church, Farming and Family were his life. Willie was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing. He was also a big prankster. He loved a good joke and always had a big smile. People felt better when he was around. Willie cherished all his friends and would do anything for them. Willie is preceded in death by his wife Lois Blair, parents, Joe and Jane Blair, sisters, Betty Hansard and Ester Littrell, brothers, Julius and Roy Blair and daughter-in-law Carol Blair.

Willie is survived by his son, Jerry Blair, of Brownfield; two granddaughters, Lesli Kerth and husband, Chris, of College Station, Julie Little of Lubbock; three great grandchildren, Nathan Kerth, Kaden Bradford, Dawson Little; and numerous nieces and nephews.
