Yoakum Co. Commissioners Court June 19

The Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday, June 19, where they addressed their weekly agenda.

In their first item, the Commissioners unanimously approved to audit and settle all accounts against the county and direct their payments.

In their next item, the Court unanimously approved a demolition request from City of Plains & South Plains Health District.

Moving on to the next item the Court also unanimously approved to award bids from Rene Bates Auction for a large number of County item. These included vehicles from the Sheriff’s department, along with items from each Precinct as well as Shinnery Oaks nursing home.

In the next item, a Grievance committee was selected. This committee will consist of 3 public members and 6 elected officials. It was also unanimously approved.

A Road Crossing permit application was unanimously approved for Stakeholder Midstream in Precinct #2.

There was no request for disposal of county equipment, no line item transfers, and no Soil Conservation request.

There were also no updates on the new Denver City Community building. This construction is expected to be finished the end of July.

There being no further business the court adjourned at 10:51.

A budget work session followed the regular meeting.

Commissioners Woody Lindsey, Ray Marion, Tommy Box, and Tim Addison along with County Judge Jim Barron were all in attendance.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, June 26, at 10 am in the County Courthouse.
