Dallan ‘Deebo’ Coleman, the No. 49 overall prospect in the 2021 247Sports Composite Rankings, has cut his list to three — Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Texas Tech — he announced on Friday.
The 6-foot-6 and 195-pound shooting guard out of Callahan (Fla.) West Nassau County cut his list down to these three from a previous list of 11 consisting of Auburn, Iowa State, Louisville, Memphis, Montana State, UCF, Virginia and Wake Forest.
In an interview with 247Sports earlier this summer he broke down what both Ole Miss and Georgia Tech had been telling him.
Georgia Tech: “I can come in and have the ball in my hands from the jump playing 30+ minutes a game and I’ll be allowed to play through my mistakes.”
Ole Miss: “Same thing, they need a guard that can come in and be able to have a dominating impact from the bounce.”
When it came to what he is looking for in a school, he told 247Sports at the time he desired a program that would allow him to develop.
“Just player development,” he said. “Also looking for a similar offensive style that I’m used to and have seen before and how much playing time I would get coming in, like effective minutes.”
Texas Tech is a program that entered the picture later in the process for Coleman, having offered him in late July.
With Coleman cutting his list down to three, things are expected to move quickly towards a decision as he has stated all along that he would like to make a decision before the basketball season starts.
Coleman is the No. 8 overall shooting guard in the 2021 247Sports Composite Rankings.
