Two Brownfield siblings are being held in the Terry County Justice Center following warrants issued on a suspicion that the two may have been involved in multiple Lubbock robberies.
Being held on Lubbock warrants are Christopher Carouth, 29, as well as his sister Kimberly Nichole Carouth, 27.
Christopher’s bail has been set at $250,000 and Kimberly’s at $259,500.
Brownfield Police Chief Tony Serbantez said Christopher was the first to be arrested after a Lubbock County warrant was issued for his arrest noon on Tuesday.
Serbantez said the BPD arrested Christopher 6 a.m. on Wednesday at a location within the 1000 block of N. 2nd. He also said Christopher was arrested without incident.
Serbantez said BPD officers worked to gather more information, which led to Kimberly’s arrest 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at a location within the 900 block of Lubbock Rd.
Kimberly’s charges include aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance PG1 under one gram and possession of marijuana under two ounces.
Christopher’s charge is aggravated robbery.
Serbantez said the siblings are suspects in the robbery of a Dollar General located in the 900 block of Slide Road as well as the robbery of a Subway at 5717 Slide Road.
Serbantez said Lubbock police also are working with the Levelland Police Department regarding robberies in that location.
