The Brownfield Chamber of Commerce sponsored Wine and Vineyard Festival will take place on Saturday, September 26 at Reddy Vineyards, east of Brownfield.
The event is usually held in August, but with everything surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and uncertainty over whether the event would even be allowed, the decision was made to move it the end of September.
Chamber Executive Director Lorena Valencia stated, “I know things are different this year, but we feel like we really have a great event planned and hope everyone will come out and enjoy the evening.”
Normally, it is a two day event, but this year it will be held on Saturday evening only and will be an outdoor event. Masks are not required, but feel free to wear one if you need to.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday and should be over by 9 p.m. The Festival will be held in the vineyard at Vijay Reddy’s Vineyard. You will take the first entrance you come to, this time and drive up to his barn more in the center of the vineyard. Watch for signage.
Tickets will be $45 and are available at the Chamber office. Tickets are limited. Your ticket entitles you to eat from all the four restaurants participating and allows you a tasting at every winery there.
Restaurants participating will be Tencha’s, Mac’s Barbecue, Harrigan’s Grill, and the Back 40 Grill.
Wineries taking part are all local, and include Reddy, Triple D, Farmhouse, Narra, Wilmeth-Hart, and Llano. While Llano is not necessarily local, they do use grapes from some Terry County vineyards and have been a great supporter in the past of the Vineyard Festival.
The Local Nobody’s will be playing music and there will be dancing under the stars.
Come out for an evening of fun on Saturday, September 26 at Reddy Vineyards!
