It is October. Fall is here. And the temperature is changing! A new month means new things at ACES.
ACES theme for the year is “Looking back, What did we learn? Planning forward.” So with that in mind, the month starts off with Angela Franco, Renal Dietician at Davita Dialysis presenting a program on nutrition. Many of us, finding ourselves quarantined, are now finding ourselves with extra pounds and poor eating habits. Angela will help get us back on track. This class will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 3.
On the second Monday of the month, the Celebrity Readers will be members of the Brownfield High School Choir. Bring your kiddos in their PJs, with their blankets and pillows for a great evening of stories and fun. All kiddos attending will go home with a new book of their very own! Don’t miss this time of fun for your kids.
On the third Monday, Renae Nave will teach a class on how to make a great Thanksgiving centerpiece. Be ready for the holidays with a great centerpiece that you can say, “I made it myself!” This class will cost $10 to cover materials. You need to reserve your place by calling 806.632.4868. This will be a fun one!
The last Monday of the month will be Family Game Night. This is a fun time of playing board games, card games and other activities. It is just a time of relaxing fun for the whole family. Try it out! Your kids would love to have this time with you, just playing and having fun!
All classes are on Monday nights at 7 p.m. in the ACES building on the west side of The Square.
