ACES plans to kick off a great September

by admin

Arnold Community Educational Services, or ACES as we all know it, will be starting their programs back up in September. This comes after a long year without anything. COVID effectively drew everything to a halt, and then the founder of ACES, Charlyce Arnold passed away suddenly. With all that, it has taken the ACES crew a bit to regroup and get ready to start up the great programs and activities that we have all enjoyed in the past.

One big change is that all programs will be held on Monday nights, rather than Tuesday, as they had been in the past. So clear your Mondays! All events begin at 7 p.m., unless otherwise stated.

Of course, Labor Day falls on a Monday, so there will be nothing on the first Monday of September.

On Monday, September 13, Celebrity Readers will feature members of the 2021 State Championship Lady Cubs Basketball Team. Bring your kiddos and their pillows and blankets for a great time. And each child gets a free book to take home

Monday, September 20 will feature Jennifer Hogue teaching a rustic craft. The limit is 15 for this class and the cost is only $3 to cover materials. To pre-register and reserve your spot for this great class, call Judy at 806.632.4868 or Mary Jane at 806.638.1844.

On Monday night, September 27, ACES will be doing something new. They are hosting Family Game Night. There will be a variety of activities and games for the whole family. Don’t miss this fun night out with your family.

ACES is concerned about health and safety, as we all are these days. With this in mind, masks will be optional at each event and social distancing will be practiced as much as possible. Sanitizer will be available and the building and furnishings will be sanitized for your safety.

If you have any questions or ideas on future programs ACES might offer contact them at either of the two numbers listed above. They want ACES to continue to grow and be a place of fun and learning for the whole community.
