Funeral services for Alexis Zamarripa, age 14 of Denver City, Texas will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Vercelli Center, 304 West 4th Street in Denver City with Father Eduardo Teo officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. All services are under the direction of Boyer Memorial Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Alexis Zamarripa was born August 21, 2006 in Lubbock, Texas to Laura Marin and Alejandro Zamarripa. She was a freshman at Denver City High School and loved to read. She was very bashful. She enjoyed music, anime, and the show, “Stranger Things;” she loved to draw. Scrolling through Tik Tok was one of her favorite pastimes, as was playing with her animals and being surrounded by her family. Alexis was a beautiful flower, just at the beginning phase of her bloom.
Alexis Zamarripa passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 from injuries received in an auto accident. She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, paternal grandmother, and one aunt, Veronica Flores. She is survived by her father, Alejandro Zamarripa of Denver City; two brothers, Adrian Aaron Zamarripa and Billy Joe Ramos, Jr., both of Denver City; two sisters, Andrea Guadalupe Zamarripa and Brianna Rose Ramos, both of Denver City; maternal grandfather, Eleazar Marin of Denver City; maternal great-grandmother, Maria Del Refugio (Cuca) Gutierrez of El Paso, Texas; and paternal grandfather, Felix Zamarripa of Mexico.
