Fillie softball coach Steve McCormick and Mustang baseball coach Chris Gonzales have announced their All District selections for the District 2-3A All District teams.
Fillies named to the 2019 Softball All District team was 1st Team – All District – Pitcher – Simone Roberson, 2nd Team – All District – Catcher – Haylee Villarreal, 2nd Team – All District – Outfielder – Alexis Orona, and Honorable Mention – All District  - infielder/pitcher – Alazay Mishaleau.
Mustangs name to the team included All District MVP - Luis Rodriguez, 1st Team:

DH – Braden McGary, Utility – Daven Blanco, Catcher – Mario Sanchez, Out Field – Uriel Rodriguez and 2nd Team: In Field – Irving Mijares.
Luis Rodriquez split time between the pitcher’s mound and 1st/3rd base duties finished the year with a .412 batting average. Included in that average was 102 plate appearances that resulted in 42 hits. He had 38 RBI’s and one homerun. As a pitcher he finished his senior year with an 8-2 record and a 1.51 ERA. He finished with 104 strikeouts and 26 base on balls.
Braden, who was hampered with a should injury the entire season, was limited to infield duties at 2nd base. He finished the year with a .312 batting average with 28 hits that included three homeruns and 31 RBI’s.
Daven also split time between the pitcher’s mound, 1st base and occasionally in right field. He finished the year with a .232 batting average that included 19 hits and 14 RBI’s. On the mound he finished the year with a 5-4 record with a 2.7 ERA. He had 38 strike outs and issued only 13 base on balls.
Mario finished the year with a .278 batting average. He had 20 hits, one homerun, and 19 RBI’s. He started every game as the Mustangs catcher.
Uriel, playing centerfield for the Mustangs, finished the year with a .400 batting average. He had 32 hits, three homeruns, and 24 RBI’s.
Irving, playing third base and short stop, finished his senior year with a .383 batting average. He had 36 hits, one homerun and 37 RBI’s.
As a team the Mustangs had a batting average of .310. They finished the year with a 23-8 season record and a 12-2 district record which was good enough for a 2nd place finish.
Season stats for the Fillies were unavailable. As a team they finished their season with a 10-22-1 record and a 4-10 district record.
