Aubrey Neil Wells

TULIA — Aubrey Neil Wells, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Tulia with Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Neil was born on Aug. 10, 1928, to John and Dollie Wells in Meadow, Texas. After high school he joined the Navy and served after WWII. He married Patsy Ruth Adams on Sept. 10, 1947 in Slaton, Texas. He was a farmer and a gin manager and was an excellent woodworker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy Wells; three brothers, J.B. Wells, Clarence Wells and Roy Wells; and two sisters, Christine Taylor and Wilma McBrayer.
He is survived by his two daughters, Charlotte Sharp and husband Ricky of Plano, TX and Cassandra Wells of Tulia; five grandchildren, Tamara Saunders of Phoenix, AZ, Emily Benzing and husband Joe of Euless, TX, Reyna Wells, Sally Wells and Arieana Wells all of Tulia; four great-grandchildren, Noor Benzing, Reed Benzing, Max Benzing and Connor Saunders.
