The First Annual Banner Banquet, sponsored by Terry County Livestock Association, was a huge success. All proceeds from the banquet went into the TCLA General Fund to be used to benefit exhibitors and their projeccts.
A total of right around $13,500 was raised after expenses.
The event was held at Whitehouse Parker and featured Jason Nutt and Highway 70 as musical entertainment. The evening featured dinner and drinks, as well as a silent auction and a live auction.
About 125 people attended the evening affair. The weather was gorgeous and the sunset was breathtaking from the backyard tents of Whitehouse Parker.
Much of the planning and organizing was done by Lexi Floyd. She did a beautiful job.
TCLA would like to thank Whitehouse Parker/Farmhouse Vineyards for the great location and setting among the vineyards, and Tenchas, and Jose Munoz for the great food. They also want to thank Geoff Cooper for all his hard work, as well as the Terry County Ag teachers.
Also, Dan Jackson and Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller for putting together a state capital tour for the auction. Also, Farmhouse donated their Air BnB for the trip to Austin.
Thanks to Jared Floyd for donating the hunting trip to Sawblade Ranch.
Thanks also to all who donated silent auction and live auction items, and also to those who bid on all these items.
It was a great evening for everyone who attended. Our local kids will definitely benefit from this.
