Both Brownfield High School and Brownfield Middle School Cross Country teams participated in the District Meet held on Tuesday, October 12 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The BHS Lady Cubs earned a 2nd place finish as a team, while the BMS Cubs won 1st place. The BMS Lady Cubs also earned a 2nd place finish. The BHS Cubs finished in 4th as a team.
Freshman Rayleigh Perry finished in 2nd place as an individual in the meet with a time of 13:45.99 on the two mile course.
The Lady Cubs Varsity Team qualified for the Regional Meet, as did Rayleigh, Jennifer and Isidora as individuals.
The Regional Meet will be held at Mae Simmons on October 25th, beginning at 2 p.m.
