Billie Render

March 6, 1939 – January 22, 2020

Funeral Services for Billie Render, 81, of Denver City will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Cliffton Powell officiating, assisted by Rev. Ronnie Lunsford and Rev. Gene Beningfield. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Billie passed away Friday, January 22, 2020 in Denver City, Texas.

She was born March 6, 1939 in Hearne, Texas to James and Maydell Massey Lockett.  She married Nathan Render in 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She attended College for two years graduating with a bachelor’s degree.  Billy was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Denver City. 

Billie was preceded in death by her parents James and May Dell Lockett; her husband Nathan Render; two brothers Frank James Lockett and Bert Petty; two sisters Eliza Render and Frankie Workman.

She is survived by her two sons Billy Paul Cooks and his wife Jackie of Odessa. Nathan Render Jr. of Houston; two daughters Surlestena Jenkins and her husband Donnie, Shela Ann Francis both of Denver City; a sister Lucy Bledsoe of Houston; along with ten grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren.  Nathan and Billie adopted and raised two grandchildren Tommie and Robert Render.
