Blas Gonzales

June 6, 1960 – January 16, 2021

Blas Gonzales, 60 of Brownfield passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021 at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Blas was born to the Agapito and Angelita Gonzales on June 6, 1960 in Mathis, Texas. Blas attended school in Immokalee, Florida before entering the workforce.

Blas was known for his love for food and his ability to cook. He also enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.

Blas is preceded in death by his father; Agapito Gonzales. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons; Ruben Gonzales of California, Blas Gonzales Jr., of Lubbock and stepson Timmy Martinez also of Lubbock, his mother; Angelita Solano-Gonzales, his brothers; Agapito Gonzales (Kelly), Rafael Gonzales (Louisa), Benito Gonzales, Tommy Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales (Sonia), and Tino Gonzales (Veronica), his sisters; Mary Tovar (Modesto), Irma Servantes, and Betty Deleon (Manuel), his grandchildren; Ismael Gonzales, Nessa Gonzales, and Joslyn Gonzales.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Grace Funeral Care. In following his wishes, Blas will be cremated following his final funeral rites.
