Bobbie passed away May 18, 2021.  She was born June 18, 1938 to Sterling (Buck) and Lorene (Danner) Price in Miami, Arizona.  Her Family moved to San Francisco, California when Bobbie was 3 years old where her father worked in the Shipyards during World War II. The family moved back to Lamesa, Texas when Bobbie was 5 years old where she attended school thru the 5th grade.  The family moved to Big Springs, Texas when Bobbie was 12 years old and she attended school there from the 6th grade until the middle of her freshman year when the family moved to Hico, Texas where she graduated and met and married the love of her life David (Dick) Payne on June 6, 1956.  Dick and Bobbie moved to Plains, Texas in May of 1957 where Bobbie has resided since.

Bobbie has been a faithful member of the Plains United Methodist Church since moving to Plains in 1957 where she helped with Vacation Bible School and served on the board.  She managed the Yoakum County Youth Center from 1983 until her retirement in 2006.  She began courageously battling cancer in 1983.  This included both breasts, two bouts with colon cancer and having a kidney removed.  These battles only strengthened her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The chemo had a lasting impact on her health causing her to deal with congestive heart failure for many years, but it never changed her positive outlook on life, she would always say how blessed she was.  She was always grateful for what the life living in Plains afforded her and the unwavering support and assistance the citizens of Plains provided.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick Payne, and her brother Ross Price.

She is survived by her three children Mike Payne and his wife Jean of Brownfield, Mark Payne and his wife Becky of Fort Worth, and Cindy Payne of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren Chris Payne, Brandon Payne; five great-grandchildren Grant Payne, Gage Payne, Victoria DeLuna, Gabby DeLuna, Bradleigh Payne; and one great-great grandchild Jaxon Payne.  Bobbie considered Vince and Vicki Delgado as her adopted children.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Plains First United Methodist Church.
