In the Saturday, May 1 Election, only 110 total votes were cast. But, there were only two contested races, that of City Councilman District 5 and three At-Large positions on the Meadow ISD School Board.
Final results for City of Brownfield District 5:
Eric Horton – 79 & Julian Silva Hernandez- 31
Eric Horton retains his City Council seat for one more term.

District 5 City Council: Eric Horton – 63 & Julian Silva Hernandez- 17
In the Meadow ISD At-Large Board of Trustees positions, the three incumbents Daniel Herrington with 42 votes, Ruben Villalpando with 48 votes, and Jody Woodard with 48 votes will retain their positions. Chris Castilleja had 20 votes.
MISD School Board early and absentee results:
Chris Castilleja – 8, Jody Woodard- 24, Ruben Villalpando – 24 & Daniel Herrington – 21.
According to Faye Newsome a member of the Terry County Ballot Board she said about the new voting machines, “So much faster and not as much paperwork… it’s more efficient.”
Terry County Joint Elections Administrator Krystal Valentin said, “This was a good run with our new machines. The biggest issue is that it take out human error during the process.”
