Mrs. Catherine Gowing (Granberry) Bingham, daughter of Walter and Darla Granberry of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2018. Catherine leaves behind her devoted and loving husband, Blake Eddie Bingham, as well as their precious furry friends: Rikku, Gryffindor, Athena, and Kitler. She is survived by her siblings Walter Granberry III (Tiger); Kristen Hosaka, DC; Julie Walthall; Matthias Granberry; and Edward Granberry. Catherine was born on September 1, 1990, in Lubbock. From an early age, she was fascinated by the inner workings of things and sought to understand the world around her. Excelling in school, she was invited to be a student at Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with two Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Economics, respectively, in 2011, then a Master of Science in Statistic8s in 2012. While beginning Doctoral studies, Catherine began participating in the Reformed University Fellowship group. Through RUF, she came to a saving understanding of Jesus Christ and her life was significantly changed. Friends and family members may attend the memorial service, officiated by Ronnie Rowe, on Wednesday, October 31, at 10:00 a.m. at Providence Presbyterian Church, 3301 34th Street, Lubbock. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts be made to the Levelland Animal Shelter or the Texas Tech chapter of Reformed University Fellowship.
