  • Total Recoveries: 289,392 (Up 6,214)
  • Total U.S. Deaths: 91,938 (Up 1,569)
  • Current mortality rate in U.S. is 6.0%  (No change)

Texas: 

  • Total Texas Cases: 50,552 (Up 1,337)
  • 29,359 Recovered (Up 988)
  • Deaths: 1,388 (Up 36)
  • Texas mortality rate is 2.7% (No change)
  • 224 Texas counties reporting active cases (Up 2)
  • 1,732 lab confirmed COVID-19 patients currently receiving hospital care (No change)
  • 8.8% of hospital beds of the 19,695 available in Texas are occupied by COVID-19 patients (No change)
  • 174.34 per 100,000 people in Texas have contracted COVID-19
  • Governor Greg Abbott has mandated all nursing home staff and patients in Texas be tested for active COVID-19. No guidelines on how this will be funded or implemented have been released.
