DCISD Finds Out their Accountability Rating from TEA

DENVER CITY big3 logoThe Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released 2016 Accountability Ratings for all Texas schools.

Overall 94% of Texas School Districts received the Met Standard Rating.

Districts and campuses receive one of two ratings, met standard or improvement required.

Kelley Elementary met standard. William G. Gravitt Jr. High met standard. Denver City High School met standard.

Denver City ISD met standard as a whole on all Indexes (1-4).

The accountability system is based on success in four indexes:

  • Index 1- Student Achievement
  • Index 2- Student Progress
  • Index 3- Closing Achievement Gaps
  • Index 4 – Post-Secondary Readiness

**To receive a Met Standard rating, districts and campuses must meet targets on three indices: Index 1 or Index 2 and Index 3 and Index 4.
