A Decision Day was held on Wednesday morning, May 26, in the gym at BHS. This was a time for BHS Seniors to stand in front of their classmates, family and friends and sign a commitment to continue their education, or career, or military career.
The signing certificate stated, “I, in the presence of my family, friends and Brownfield High School faculty commit today, May 26, 2021, to use my abilities and talents to continue to improve myself and my world. I will seek to pursue continuing education through college, technical school, the military or other pathways. I understand that my success will be a direct result of my efforts and commitment.”
Seventy-four of the 98 members of the graduating class took part in the ceremony.
The careers and college choices ranged from three who will enter the military, all the way to those heading off to four year college.
Those heading to the military include:
Cristal Gonzalez Olveda – Army
Danny Mata – Marines
Marisol Morales – Army
Some will begin careers for which they became certified through BHS’s Technology programs.
