deloris-browningFuneral services for Deloris Browning, age 74 of Denver City, Texas will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. All services are under the direction of Boyer Memorial Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Ms. Browning was born May 5, 1942 in Brownfield, Texas to Mable (Young) and Gerald W. Switzer. She lived in Denver City for the past forty-five years, having moved from Lubbock, Texas. Deloris was the first female barber in Denver City; she ran a successful business for over four decades. She was raised as a pastor’s daughter and a long time member of the Assembly of God Church before joining the First United Methodist Church of Denver City. She enjoyed reading, gardening, going to church and spending time with her family.

Deloris Browning passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jerry Switzer; one sister, Wanda Parker; and a loving friend, Hershel “Tootie” Roach. She is survived by:
