Ms. Guadalupe “Lupe” G. Romero 76, passed away on Tuesday November 16, 2021, in Baytown, Texas at Methodist Hospital. Lupe was born January 8, 1945, to Savas and Rita Garza Sr. in Yorktown, Texas. Lupe was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed life. She was an avid bingo player and would dance to the tune of Tejano music. Guadalupe often called “Lupe” loved her family and children dearly. She was especially fond of her grandchildren. While Lupe resided in La Port, Texas she was formerly of Lubbock with roots in Brownfield where many of her relatives live. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Sandra Alvarado (Paul), Mary Guerra (Oscar), David Romero (Lissa), Melissa Garcia (David), Matias Romero Jr. (Nora), Chris Romero (Nero), Joel Romero, Andy Romero (Lupe), Mark Romero (Rachel), and Eric Romero (Cindy). She also leaves to cherish her memory, 36 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Savas and Rita Garza Sr., her husband; Matias Romero Sr, brother; Savas Garza Jr., sisters; Lucy Gill and Beatrice Garza, sons: Daniel Romero and Luke Romero, and grandson; Daun David Romero.

A visitation will be held Sunday November 21, 2021, at the Chapel of Grace Funeral Care Inc. 1211 Lubbock Road in Brownfield 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a service beginning at 6 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Monday November 22, 2021 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cremation to follow services.
