Funeral services for Helen Marie Maynard, 81, of Denver City, Texas will be conducted Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John McClean officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. She passed away Sunday, June 29, 2018, in Lubbock. Helen was born December 16, 1936, in Stanford, Texas to Earl and Marie Cameron Kennedy. She graduated from high school in Haskell, Texas. She married Jimmy Maynard on August 29, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas. Helen and her family became members of the community in 1954, she was a secretary for JPN service company for twelve years and also a member of the First United Methodist Church. Helen is preceded in death by her Parents, and her husband Jimmy Maynard. She is survived by her daughter Paula Rich and Jimmy Owens, a son Neil Maynard and wife Kelly, ex-son-in-law Buster Rich all of Denver City; two granddaughters Andrea Rich and her husband Jeremy Hix, Danielle Rich both of Lubbock; a grandson Jimmy Maynard of Denver City; two great-grandsons Jordan Corral and Camryn Corral. Visitation Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
