A law enforcement chase ended with a crash Thursday in Lubbock, more specifically at the intersection of 98th Street and Frankford Avenue. The crash was just before noon.
According to DPS, an officer with the Brownfield Police Department made a traffic stop near the end of the city limits.
After returning to the police vehicle to run the driver’s identification, the suspect took off.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers pursued a vehicle into Lubbock from Highway 62/82. Brownfield police were also on scene at the crash.
The chase moved through Brownfield about 11:30 a.m. on Thursday morning with several local Police units and DPS units in pursuit with lights flashing and traveling at high speeds.
The Lubbock Police Department has reported one person with minor injuries as a result of the crash. DPS has not yet provided any other details on injuries or how many suspects were arrested after the pursuit. This is a developing story.
