Holly Alyson Lee, 55, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2020 in her home.

Born November 16th, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas, fatefully chosen she was the daughter of Steve and Judith Lee of Lubbock Texas. She is survived by her parents Steve and Judith Lee, her son and daughter; Christian Aviles and wife Amye Aviles, Gabriella Aviles, her brother Eric Lee and his wife Connie and her 6 grandchildren Davian, Malayke, Braxton, Camryn, Kingston, and Carsyn.

Holly grew up in Cotton Center and Olton, Texas, where she graduated in 1983. She attended Texas Tech University, but then graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 1987. Holly started teaching in 1988. Holly and family moved to Brownfield in 1993. After her classroom days had ended, Holly became a Librarian, where she would eventually be in that position at EVERY Brownfield ISD school. Holly retired in 2017 to go back to school at Lubbock Christian University to attain a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling where she graduated in May of 2020. Holly enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren and family, talking sports, especially Texas Tech basketball.

Holly is remembered as being a person selfless acts, kind heart, and integrity. She always puts others’ needs before hers. Her smile will never be forgotten for over 2 decades of students and over 5 decades of friends.

Memorial Services will be held for Holly January 9th, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Chirstian Aviles for the “Holly Alyson Lee Scholarship: Kindness, Integrity, Selflessness”. This scholarship will be awarded each year to a deserving student striving to better themselves after high school. Lastly, donations can be made to the Buckner’s children home as this was a place Holly did her clinical rotations and was near and dear to her heart.
