Jack Mock

Jack Thompson Mock died July 28, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born March 5, 1932, to a pioneer ranching family that moved to Gaines County, Texas, in 1903. He graduated from Seminole High School, then earned a B.S. degree in geology from Texas Tech in 1961 after serving in the air force during the Korean War. He spent 30 years as a junior high science teacher in Denver City, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ada Thompson Mock, and sisters Mary Eunice Dobbs, Mozelle Dukes, and Margaret Hill. Surviving Jack is wife Norma Moore Mock who he married in 1964, their son Charley and wife Allison Kancher Mock, grandchildren Jack Samuel Mock and Eleanor Laine Mock, brother Floyd Russell Mock, sisters-in-law Patty Moore Pritchett (husband Early Price Pritchett) and Betty Moore Roberson (husband Scott Lee Roberson), plus numerous nieces and nephews.
