Jana Rae Corzine Atkins

Jana Rae Corzine Atkins, age 42, died April 25, 2016, in Oklahoma City after a sudden illness. She was born Aug. 9, 1973, in Brownfield to Don and Carol (Pritchard) Corzine. She graduated from Denver City HS in 1991 and attended Angelo State University before earning a bachelor’s degree in music from Texas Tech, then a master’s degree in library science from the University of North Texas. She married David Atkins on Oct. 18, 2003. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Edmond, Okla., and played trumpet in the orchestra. She is survived by her husband David of Edmond, Okla.; her parents, Don and Carol Corzine of Denver City; a sister, Judy Faught and husband Shane of Brownfield; a brother, Derek Corzine and wife Amy of Mooresville, N.C.; two nieces and three nephews. Donations may be made to the Texas Tech Alumni Association or Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation.
