Oklahoma City- Janetta Gay Allen, beloved wife and mother, passed away on July 22, 2018 at Baptist Village rehab facility in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 86.

She was born in Wellington, Texas on October 9, 1931 to Jack Talmadge and Eunice Estelle Gipson. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1948 and continued her education at South Plains College and Wayland Baptist College. She was a bookkeeper and homemaker. Janetta was a member of the Cotton Center First Baptist Church.

She married Oscar B. Allen on November 3, 1951 in Brownfield, Texas. They were married for 66 years until his death July 14, 2017. She had a deep faith and studied her Bible daily. She was a wonderful cook, there was always a full meal on the table and her house was always perfect. She completely devoted herself to her family. Simply put, she was the perfect Mom! She was also an avid reader and was especially fond of mysteries.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Robertson and husband Bruce of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Eric Allen and wife Leigh of Keller, TX; two grandsons, Chase and Mitchell Allen.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Cotton Center, Texas.
