Brownfield- Jean Neal, 93, of Brownfield passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Family had been by her side for several days. Son, Allen, flew in from California on Monday, June 18th to be by her side. Jean was born to Joseph and Ollie Baggett in Hopkins County, Texas, on July 28, 1924. Jean was a Brownfield resident and ICON for many years. She volunteered for many organizations and she worked at XYZ Senior Center for 16 years. Jean is survived by her son, Allen Neal and wife Lorene; son-in-law, Kenneth Willis; granddaughters, Kendra Willis Cabrera and husband Emilio, Sheryl Neal Shifman and husband Rich, Darla Neal Rouiller and husband Dean; grandsons, Kevin Willis and Keith Blackburn; 4 great-granddaughters, 5 great-grandsons, 3 great-great-grandsons, and a great-great-granddaughter. Jean was preceded in death by her father and mother, a sister and 2 brothers; her husband of 49 years, Dewey O. “Shorty” Neal (May 30, 1991); 2 children, her daughter of 66 years, Ann Neal Willis (October 24, 2010), and her son of 71 years, Robert Dwayne Neal (April 16, 2018).
