David Herrera, Sr., 35, of Brownfield, passed away July 31, 2018.  Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, August 2, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Interment will follow at Brownfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018. The family will receive guests at 5 pm with a rosary following from 6-7 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.brownfieldfuneralhome.com.

Joe was born on April 2, 1983, to Frank David, Sr. and Thalia Constancio Herrera in Lubbock. He loved art and was known for his smart and funny personality.  His family can still hear his words, “$2 Fool,” echoing in their ears.  Joe was a fighter and his family is very proud of him and will miss him greatly!  Joe is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Trine Constancio and Willie Herrera, Sr, and an uncle, Tommy Constancio.

Joe is survived by his parents, Frank David, Sr. and Thalia Herrera of Brownfield; his wife, Jessica Louisa Herrera of Brownfield; five children, Gabriella Herrera of Lubbock, Joe Herrera, Jr. of Lubbock, Evan Herrera of Lubbock, Isaiah Herrera of Brownfield and Hope Guerrero of Kermit; a granddaughter, Zeplynn Guerrero of Kermit; his grandmothers, Toby Constancio of Lubbock and Matilde Herrera of Brownfield; a sister, Santa Martha (Dottie) Herrera of Pampa; four brothers, Frank David Herrera, Jr. of Brownfield, Christopher Anthony Herrera, Sr. of Lubbock, Mark Anthony, Sr. of Brownfield and Gilbert Herrera, Sr. of Lubbock; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
