Services for Joseph Christopher Smith will be held at 10am on Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Eduardo Teo officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Joey passed away May 17, 2016 in Galveston. He was born April 19, 1964 in Chicago, IL to Johnnie Davis Smith and Joanna Marie DiBennito. He graduated from high school in Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, NV and then attended Southern Utah State University. He married Leticia Hernandez in Brownfield. Joey was a kind, respectful, loving person that made friends with just about everybody.
Joey is survived by his wife, Leticia Hernandez of Grandfalls; 3 children, Jacquelyn, Victoria, and Christopher Smith all of Grandfalls; mother, Joanna Baez of Las Vegas, NV; father, Johnnie Smith of Greenville, MS; sister, Julie Baez of Las Vegas, NV; 3 brothers Ronnie Smith of Chicago, IL, Michael Smith of Greenville, MS and Richie Baez of Colorado Springs, CO.
