The annual Keep the Cheer Here event, sponsored by the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce will take place on Thursday, November 3rd this year. Of course, in this year of weirdness and caution, there have been some changes made.
Rather than one evening with crowds, the event will be an all day affair. It will begin at 12 p.m and end at 7 p.m. Chamber Executive Director Lorena Valencia felt this change was needed to keep close contact down. Also, all stores will be disinfecting and spraying regularly. Masks are strongly encouraged, and are required in some businesses.
ACES (Arnold Community Educational Services) will be hosting a chili and beans and cornbread lunch from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. for to go. This should be great! You can help support scholarships for local students by going by there for some take-out lunch. The meal includes chili, beans, cornbread, cookie and a drink, all for only $7! What a great deal! You can also pre-order by calling 806 632-4868 and letting them know what you want and when you will be by. Again, a great way to support local students planning on attending college.
