The Lady Cubs once again showed their opponent who was boss with a win over Seminole in three sets. The scores were 25-21, 25-23, and 25-18.
The Ladies seem to be able to see the floor and cover the floor in amazing fashion. Their teamwork is amazing.
First year Coach Mallorie Ellis, who is BHS alum and recent graduate from Wayland Baptist Universtity where she was a four year starter on the volleyball team, has found just the right chemistry to make this team click.
“They are fun to coach. I am really enjoying these girls. They are easy to coach,” stated Ellis, who stated before the match she knew Seminole would challenge the Lady Cubs. “I know it will be a good match for us. They will definitely give us a challenge.”
Deja Johnson had 11 kills. Meriah Gonzalez added 10 kills and Madison Hord had 14 digs on the night.
The Lady Cubs will head to Levelland on September 8 for a 6 p.m. match. The Ladies will return home on September 15 to face Andrews in The Pit in a 6 p.m. matchup.
