The Lady Cubs, who are now 5-0 in district, took down the Friona Squaws on Tuesday night in the first match of the second round of district play.

The Lady Cubs will face Littlefield at home on Saturday, October 9 with a 12 p.m. start. The JV teams will begin at 11 a.m.

This game will also be a fundraiser game for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Ladies are challenging community members and businesses to pledge money for each kill Lady Cub players earn on Saturday. This is from the JV-A and JV-B, all the way up to the Varsity Lady Cubs.

Coach Mallorie Ellis stated, “We average around 40 – 50 kills a game. The money we raise will be donated to a local organization.”

They are accepting one-time donations, or pledges per kill. You may contact Coach Ellis by email for details about where to send your donation or give her your pledge amount. mallorie.ellis@brownfieldisd.net
