Funeral services for Lee Roy Clinton, age 91 of Denver City, Texas will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Denver City Church of Christ beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Skip Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. All services are under the direction of Boyer Memorial Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mr. Clinton was born August 15, 1930 in Tahoka, Texas to Corine (Hill) and Charlie Clinton. He had been a Denver City resident for 56 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Marcia Ann Rexroat in Lubbock, Texas on July 2, 1949. He loved to farm, and also owned an auto parts store, C & W Auto Supply, in Denver City for many years. Additionally he co-owned Bea’s Floral in Denver City with his wife. He was a hard worker and liked to stay busy. He continued to take care of his wife while she was a nursing home resident, even coming to the window to visit during the Covid pandemic. He loved his family very much; he adored his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Lee Roy Clinton passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at University Medical Center in Lubbock. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and one grandson. He is survived by his wife Marcia of Denver City; two sons, Gary Clinton and wife Lisa of Denver City, and Larry Clinton and wife Denise of Midland, Texas; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
