Funeral services for Maria Rosas Martinez will be held 2pm Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery.
There will be a rosary held December, 16, 2019 starting at 6 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Maria passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Brownfield. She was born on November 26, 1932 to Antonio Rosas and Felicia Nombrano in Rockspring. Maria was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and nanny. Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Martinez, son, Joe Martinez, and two sons that passed at birth, Anthony and Paul, two sisters, and 6 brothers.
Maria is survived by 8 children, Jesse Martinez and wife, Lupe, of Brownfield, Marta Cruz of Florida, Irene Sefuentez of Brownfield, Janie Hinojosa of Lubbock, Sammy Martinez of Brownfield, Martin Martinez and wife, Lana McWilliams, of Levelland, Jimmy Martinez of Brownfield, Mary Jane Hinojosa of Lubbock; sister, Modesta Ramirez of New Deal, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
