Marilyn Janet (Renfro) Oliver

Lubbock- Marilyn Janet Oliver went home Sunday, December 30, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 77 years at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019, followed by a visitation at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A tribute of Marilyn’s life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family.

She was the daughter of Lawrence and Jonnie Mae Renfro of Brownfield. She married Kenneth Oliver in 1959. She worked for GTE in Brownfield until she retired in 1990. She celebrated life a love for crocheting and quilting. Caring and sharing were her passions. 

She is survived by her sisters, Linda McMinn of Lubbock, and Shirley Nickens of Greenville, NC.; honorary daughter, Pamela and Don Werner; honorary granddaughter, Amanda Washington, and honorary great-granddaughter, Arissa Munoz; nieces and nephews, Ricky and Beverly Willis, Melinda and Bobby Jesko, and Demy Nickens; great nieces and nephews, Christa Jesko, Bradley and Taylor Willis, and Anthony and Jocelyn Jesko; and great-great nieces and nephews, Jaelyn Riojas, Kyla Hagler, and Korbin and Finley Jesko. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her great nephew, Tyler Willis.
