Mary Martinez

August 25, 1938 – July 1, 2020

Mary A. Sandoval Martinez born August 25, 1938 in Wilson County, TX to Juan & Trinidad Sandoval was called to leave this world to be present with Her Lord and Savior on July 1, 2020.  Family visitation will be held Sunday, July 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Brownfield Funeral Home.  Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Brownfield Cemetery.

Mary loved Jesus with all her heart and wanted others to know her Lord and Savior.  Her greatest joy was being a mom to her 4 children.  Her grandchildren & great-grandchildren knew her as Nannie and her nieces and nephews called her “Tia Tony”.  She had a contagious beautiful smile and you never left her home hungry as she loved to cook.  She enjoyed working in her yard, having coffee with a friend and was always up for a game of Skip-Bo or two.  Mary was a hard worker and for many years worked as a waitress at the Village Grill for Grady & Nellie Karr and son Gary, also worked at the Plaza Restaurant for Bobby & Jeanne Jones and sons Bobby & Bruce whom she loved as family.

She is survived by two sons, David S Martinez & wife Betty of Brownfield, TX, Felix Martinez of Brownfield, TX and two daughters, Clarissa Rodriguez & Joe of Wolfforth, TX and Liz Moroles & Joe of Midland, TX and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 4 sisters, Teresa Torres, Juanita Marin, Lenora Franco & Prudencia Canales and 5 brothers, Juan Sandoval, Pablo Sandoval, Andres Sandoval, Jose Sandoval and Domingo Sandoval. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished.
