Meal Service begins for local students

by admin

On Monday morning, March 23rd, FREE meal service began for local kids. Brownfield ISD and other local schools are participating in getting food out to the students forced to stay home indefinitely, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Meals are being provided for breakfast and lunch. These are not hot meals, as that would be logistically impossible, but it is good wholesome food that will make little tummies happy.

These FREE meals are available to any child between the ages of 1 and 18. Parents must come pick up the food. The children must be present also. There are several locations throughout the community where food will be available to pick up. Volunteers will bring it to your car.

Meal times are – Breakfast – 7:45 – 8:30 a.m. and Lunch – 11:45 – 12:30

Brownfield Farmers Co-op Station – 902 West Main Street

Shady Oaks Church of God 802 South Howell
