Memorial Day

by admin

A day to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom.

In a time when it seems that so many want to trample on the very thing that so many died for, it is a good day to take some time aside and be thankful for those that gave their lives for us.

Memorial Day is certainly a day to be enjoyed and a great day for families to gather and grills be fire up, but in your time of celebration and relaxation, remember to thank God that you live in the greatest country in the world and be thankful for those that loved this country more than life.

Memorial Day closings:

All banks, credit unions and lending agencies are closed on Monday, May 31. Also closed will be all government offices from City all the way up to Federal. The Kendrick Memorial Library will be closed. Most offices will be closed. TownTalk Media will be closed.

Most larger retail establishments will be open, but look for local retail shopping to possibly be closed. Check before you make a trip.

Enjoy your holiday, as you also remember the wonder of this day, that men and women would give their lives protecting the freedoms of those they might never meet.
